This piece comes from my series of Medieval Beasts: "Real" or Imaginary? I made this one up, and his legend is handwritten beneath the image:
"Oaf Wyvern A fierce but beautiful brute, this dragon bursts unannounced from innocent clouds heralding neither storm nor eclipse. Ashamed of his frilly appearance (for Oaf Wyverns are always male), he blusters forth into the world in a maelstrom of temper. While terrifying, these tantrums never last long, and he returns into the ether as quickly as he was created."
